Y-DNA Haplogroups

Haplogroups are populations with common marker values

Of the haplogroups that are found in the Little DNA Project:

- E3a is found mainly in western Africa, and in males of recent African descent.

- E3b is found mainly around the Mediterreanean and in small %'s in parts of Europe.

- I1a is found mainly in Scandanavia, and in British males with Viking ancestors.

- I1b is found mainly in central Europe and the Balkans.

- J2 is found mainly the Middle East, and in smaller percentages throughout Europe.

- R1a is a signature of the Indo-Europeans from Eastern Europe to England.

- R1b was the main population of western Europe before and after the last Ice Age.
